6th Annual
Coming Together
August 14, 2004

Did we ever get rained on. We said 'rain or shine,' so we tried. What we didn't count on was
Having the tents fall down from all the rain;  the water weighed down the roof and the tent pegs rose right out of the ground.
Having the Hatchery close because the power went out - no bathrooms, no phones for emergencies.

We had a much abbreviated program when the power came back on briefly, but we left as the water approached the level of the road. Many thanks to Dave at the Hatchery, and to those who planned and cooked and came early to help. And blessings on those who feel so strongly about Red-Black issues that they came from NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE & Northern VA despite the weather. No photos this year; wish we had one of the Hardy boys riding the cable spools we use for discussion tables.

Here are some words you would have heard if we'd had time for the full program.

Suggestions for a backup location - indoors - for next year are welcome.
